What does the video consultation cost?
The initial consultation costs CHF 190 (a 45-minute video consultation at the TARDOC tariff), follow-up consultations CHF 80–120. As a regular medical service, the consultation is usually covered by basic health insurance (OKP) – the usual conditions such as deductible and co-payment apply. If the doctor finds no medical indication during the initial consultation, it is not charged.
Does health insurance cover the cost?
Yes, as a rule: the medical consultation is a regular service under the TARDOC tariff and is covered by basic insurance (OKP). Depending on your insurance model (e.g. family doctor model, Telmed), the usual conditions such as deductible and co-payment apply.
What happens if there is no medical indication?
Our doctors assess your situation with an open outcome. If there is no indication for treatment, you receive an honest assessment and pointers to alternative routes. In that case the initial consultation is not charged.
Are medication costs covered as well?
These are two separate things: the medical consultation is generally covered by basic insurance, whereas the cost of prescribed preparations currently is generally not. Individual authorised medicinal products may be reimbursed under certain conditions – your health insurer assesses this case by case, in some instances via a prior cost approval (Kostengutsprache). Some supplementary insurance policies contribute. Your doctor will discuss the likely costs openly with you before you decide on anything.
I am already receiving treatment – can I switch to you?
Yes. Simply book an appointment and bring your existing records into the conversation. The doctor will get an overview of your history so far and discuss with you how your care can be continued.
How quickly can I get an appointment?
Often within a few days. Appointments are also available in the evening and at weekends – simply pick a free slot in the calendar.
Do I need a referral?
No. You book your appointment directly online – no referral and no waiting at your family doctor.
